I have over 40 years of A level History and Politics teaching and private tutoring experience.I have worked in leading independent and state schools as well as sixth form colleges.I have had many years of A level History and Politics examining experience.I help students with their coursework in addition to preparing them for their final exams.I prepare students for Oxbridge interviews and the Oxford History Test(HAT).I am happy to travel.I have a sense of humour.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked as an A level History and Politics teacher at Pimlico,Hampstead,William Ellis,Harrodian and Mill Hill schools as well as at Woodhouse and Ealing sixth form colleges.I also work for most of the leading private tutorial agencies in London.

Tutoring Approach

I make sure that the student has a full set of handouts from me to revise from to get the highest possible grade in their exam.I read through my handout with the student.I look at previous exam papers with the student and plan out with them exam answers to essay and source questions.Should the student wish to prepare any written work in addition to their school work I am happy to set and mark it.I do my best to explain the mark scheme and how to structure answers so that the student will perform to the maximum of their ability.
