In 2023, I graduated UEA with a bachelors in Mathematics. Fuelling my hunger, I studied at Leeds pursuing a masters in Mathematics. Now I aim to demonstrate my love for the subject and inspire the next generation of mathematicians!

In general, I am approachable and empathetic and through tutoring, I have discovered my strongest characteristics are patience and adaptability.

Tutoring Experience

I have tutored students between ages 15 and 40, all with varied abilities - some of these students in school heading towards a final exam while others, including casual learners, with no end goal in mind.

I am also grateful to have supported those particularly affected by COVID resulting in school anxiety and underperforming in maths.

Tutoring Approach

Maths is not a one size fits all kind of deal! Often students have found it more effective when I focus on solidifying their foundational skills in maths which result in a general improvement in several areas. On the other hand, I have taught casual learners entire topics, including those from a non-mathematical background. For this reason, I am sufficiently experienced and open to catering to the student's individual requirements, whether that be teaching new concepts, improving exercise technique or general support to their current studies.

Regardless of the approach, my goal is to not only help students surpass their expectation but to instil confidence to tackle any problem independently. Where I feel its appropriate, I love to broaden the students' knowledge with more advanced math areas which are usually more interesting. I have found this to be effective at highlighting the importance and use of a topic and revealing the beauty that lies within mathematics!
