I am a student currently on a gap year. I completed my A-levels last year in Maths, Physics and Computer science. I have always had an interest for maths and it was always a subject I thrived in. I did my maths GCSE a year earlier than my peers and got a 9, then, the year after I completed an FSMQ (free standing maths qualification), after which I completed completed A-level maths and got an A*.
In school I would often help students who were struggling to understand maths concepts and would answer and questions they have and correct their work. I also have 2 younger sisters who I often tutor and help with their maths homework.
I don't have a strict teaching plan. I see what the student needs, which could be areas they are struggling in, what they are currently studying in school, or a test that didn't go too well. I then help the student as they need, as everyone studies best differently and understands thing better in different ways. I try to clear up any misconceptions or any problems the student has and then practice the concept with questions.
