I have done my PhD at the University of Oxford in a field which is at the cross between Mathematics and Computer Science (Machine Learning for Quantitative Finance to be exact).
I also have 10 years of work experience in Quantitative Finance working in top tier hedge funds and banks for roles where Mathematics and Computer Science have central importance.
My clients are usually Fund Managers, CEOs or Managing Directors working in the banking industry. Sometimes I also get motivated doctoral/MSc students (in Financial Mathematics or Machine Learning for Quantitative Finance). My rates are inline with senior Quantitative Analyst consultants in the financial industry.
I have taught in both Oxford and Cambridge at the undergraduate level. In Cambridge I was a college supervisor and a lab demonstrator for Mathematical methods. In Oxford I am currently a tutor for Oxford Algorithmic Trading programme. The following link should give you a sample of the course: http://eqrc.co.uk/about/
Other than that I have had tutoring experiences on a one to one basis for few years outside this website.
My approach is mainly flexibility. Different clients have different objectives.
