Hello, I’m Bliss and I am a friendly and approachable Spanish and English language teacher and enthusiast.

I take my work and my students’ happiness very seriously. There is no greater joy than seeing the confidence build in a person’s language ability and seeing that improvement develop quickly with the right attitude and dedication.

I believe that learning a second language is an eye-opening experience that brings many enriching benefits to our lives. After all, we are all human and are always looking for different ways to grow and learn. Speaking another language offers a completely different and refreshing perspective on life.

Tutoring Experience

I have studied and worked in both England and Spain as a language teacher for over 5 years, working with both children and adults to help drive their language skills. I am TEFL qualified and Spanish degree educated currently living in Brighton, England. However, my work is all done remotely which lets me work with people all over the world.

When I am not teaching, I am working as a professional translator with my business, Roots Translations. This will tell you something about how seriously I take breaking down language barriers.

Tutoring Approach

I am a highly organised, patient and engaging tutor, with all of my lessons tailored to and designed around each individual’s requirements. All of my students reach their goals. I am a huge advocate for immersive learning, that is, make language learning a lifestyle! I use real life situations to practise the language, incorporating cultural education, and provide and create all of my own study materials: vocabulary sheets, music, film clips, reading comprehensions, documents, worksheets and revision cards – all of which create an enjoyable, varied and challenging lesson set.

I integrate the entire skill set required to take on a language into my lessons – reading practice, listening comprehension, speaking ability and writing consolidation. You will be improving your language level without even realising it. My goal is to give you the right tools and strategies so that you can go out there and speak the language by yourself.
