Hey!
I'm Billy, and I'm a 3rd-year Physics student at a Russel group university with have plenty of experience tutoring maths and explaining difficult concepts to students. I used to teach GCSE maths while studying for my A-levels, so I have no problem explaining tricky topics to those who might be struggling.
I understand that learning and revising can sometimes feel repetitive, and exams can be stressful - I've been there too! From GCSEs to University, I've had to adapt and find new ways to learn effectively, all of which I'm eager to pass on to my students.
I tutored GCSE maths students while studying for my A-levels, so I have a really good understanding of how to teach tricky topics. I know that some students struggle to learn in a classroom setting and understand that some students need to learn in different ways at different paces.
I cater to the individual student and their needs by discussing what content they want to cover in the next session. Then I will then explain the content to the student and fill any holes in their understanding before running through some practise questions and working through solutions together.
I am more than happy to set homework, which I'll mark with feedback that we can discuss in the next sessions. We'll see where you struggled and how we can get past that in the future. This is really helpful in identifying the areas we need to work more on, and we can pinpoint exactly what we need to do to get you that top grade!
