I am a friendly, enthusiastic and passionate qualified Secondary English teacher from Huddersfield. I have a degree in English language and literature from The University of Huddersfield where I specialised in linguistics, women writers and speculative fiction. I also completed my PGCE and was awarded QTS at the same University. It is my desire to use my experience to develop life long learners and to pass on my love of the subject. I am DBS checked and up to date with my safeguarding training.

Tutoring Experience

I have trained and worked in a range of schools, from a relatively small and exclusive grammar school to larger mainstream schools. I have worked with students from KS2 to A level and have experience in SEND.

Tutoring Approach

Every student is different. I work one on one with the student to establish what their personal goals are and then work together to achieve them. I tailor resources and approaches in order to meet the students individual needs and develop their studies. I tutor online via Microsoft teams so you don’t have to leave the comfort of your own home.
