I have over 26 years’ experience in IT-related roles in addition to over 17 years teaching and training, enabling me to problem solve and workshop requirements and solutions, be an effective mentor to other professionals, an effective teacher/trainer/tutor and an effective Professional Reviewer for SET. 5 words that help to describe me are: Conscientious, Reliable, Effective, Analytical, Motivational. Tutoring Experience

I am an experienced trainer and teacher with over 16 years’ experience in adult education / colleges and schools, currently tutoring, contract teaching in schools and some colleges (mostly GCSE/Functional Skills maths and English), a GCSE Maths Examiner, a Functional Skills Maths Examiner and questions' writer, a Professional Formation Reviewer (QTLS/ATS) for SET (Society for Education & Training / Education & Training Foundation) and mentoring an ATS candidate. Previously, I have also taught college staff Level 3 Adult Numeracy, provided other staff training as required, mentored trainee teachers and teachers working towards a Level 5 in Subject Numeracy specialism and mentored QTLS candidates (including being their Supporter as they develop their QTLS portfolio applications). My roles in my teaching career have also included: Form Tutor, Course Leader; Internal Moderating; ILT/ICT Rep, participation in Teaching and Learning Showcases, SfLIP North West Cluster Group Rep.(Co-Mentoring) ; Functional Skills Rep./ Co-ordinator, which included being a rep on the Knowsley Functional Skills Committee; Expert maths Examiner (GCSE, Functional Skills), ECDL Assessor.
