Private Music Tutor in West Molesey

Hello! I am a semi-professional guitarist specialising in Rock, Blues and Jazz.

I have played the guitar for over 10 years and have studied music at university for 4 years; graduating with a Bmus in guitar performance from BIMM London (British Institute of Modern Music). I have performed in prestigious venues such as the 229 Club, Proud Camden and the Notting Hill Arts Club. I have studio experience in several professional recording studios, including Boogie Trap studios, Crown Lane Studios, Skytop productions, Leeds college of music and BIMM London studios.

I am currently inspired by artists such as Steve Lukather (TOTO), David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), John Mayer, BB King, Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell and Bill Frisell.

Artists I have collaborated with are Terrianne, Anastasia Volckova and Katya Edwards- whose song ‘About You’, written for Tyron Hapi & Laurell, has recently become a gold-selling single in Australia. As well as my original project 'Colours of Karma'.

Tutoring Experience

I have privately taught adults beginners guitar since 2018.

I assisted the running of the summer rock course in June 2019. This event required me to teach children aged 10-16 various pop and rock songs which demonstrated my patience, calm disposition and charisma.

Tutoring Approach

My lessons vary depending on what the student would like to to learn. I would respect the wishes of the student. I would advise a 60% practical and 40% theory approach in a lesson; so the student would be able to play but also understand the mechanics of the music.
