My name is Ben, I am currently a 2nd year undergraduate at LSE studying Politics and Philosophy. I am a big football fan, I support Chelsea (hopefully this won't be an issue!) and I am also an avid film fan.
I have experience volunteering at a local primary school to me where for a year, I assisted in the teaching of children aged 8-11 in maths, english and PE.
I have also tutored relatives in subjects such as RS, Latin and Spanish and so have 1 to 1 experience as well.
I believe in a flipped learning approach, whereby students are taught material and then immediately tested/marked on it. The benefit of this is to highlight any knowledge gaps so that students can target only the areas they are weak on. The other benefit of this approach is that students can get real time quick feedback where they are shown where they are going wrong and are shown the solutions instead of wondering where they are going wrong, or being unaware they are going wrong at all. This way of learning is proven as the best way to commit information to long term.
