I am a Spanish native speaker with qualified teacher status. I am extremely passionate about languages and teaching and I have a range of skills that were developed through my career in education. I studied a degree in English Studies and did a Master's Programme in Secondary Education, Non-compulsory Secondary Education, Vocational Training and Official School of Languages. I have recently finished my studies in a Master's Programme in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language with UIMP and Instituto Cervantes where I am also a teacher for adults in their center in Deansgate. Moreover, I have experience working in schools both through UK and Spain. I am familiar with KS3, KS4 and KS5 Spanish curriculum and the new GCSE specifications with AQA Exam Board. I currently prepare Paper 3 in Spanish with A-level students in a sixth-form college and I have a track record for delivering the highest standards of teaching. Also, I tutored children and adults of all ages who both were complete beginners and had previous knowledge of the language, helped young adults with their university exams, and worked one to one with teenagers in order to support them with official exams.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience working in schools both through UK and Spain for almost six years now. I managed to accrue nearly four months of work experience as trainee teacher in a public secondary school and then got a position as a secondary teacher for a whole academic year. I also worked as a teacher in a language school and as Spanish Foreign Language Assistant in a state secondary school and a sixth-form college. I have experience teaching in one-to-one lessons and in small groups too. Moreover, I have tutored both children, teenagers and adults of all ages so as to prepare them for official examinations such as GCSE, A-Level, university exams and other casual purposes. I taught Spanish as part of the Linguae Mundi foreign language courses at Coventry University, in a range of courses from beginners to advanced level.
