Hello, I’m Barbara. I’m a qualified teacher of English as a foreign language with an additional C2 certificate (Cambridge Proficiency) and QTS. I am a compassionate teacher, who has students’ unique needs at heart, differentiates teaching methods, provides a lot of support and offers positive encouragement and reinforcement to keep my students focused and motivated.

Tutoring Experience

I’ve been teaching for over 20 years, as an EFL teacher in Poland and England and a Primary Teacher in England for the last 10 years. I have had the opportunity to teach a wide variety of students of all ages and from various backgrounds. Working in the UK Primary Education sector for the past 10 years provided me with the wealth of experience - I can tackle any difficulty you might be facing. As far as ESL is concerned, I can teach any level and any content, whether you’re interested in improving your language skills (speaking, reading, listening or writing), grammar or if your goal is passing an exam, I can help you.

Tutoring Approach

My lessons are tailored to my students’ needs and I like establishing what and how I can best teach you through and after an initial conversation.
I like teaching in a friendly and casual atmosphere when my students are active participants and learning takes place at their pace. I use a variety of teaching methods and resources to keep my students motivated and interested.
