I am a friendly, caring and highly experienced teacher. I am passionate about education and wellbeing and enjoy working with young people and to help them learn.
I have three grown up children and enjoy yoga, walking, reading and travelling.
I love meeting new people and exploring new places.
I have been teaching for over 26 years and have a wealth of experience in education both as a teacher and as a Deputy Head. I have taught in all key phases across the primary age range - the Foundation Stage, KS1 and KS2.
I thoroughly enjoy teaching all year groups. In my various roles in school, I have led and coordinated a range of subjects including Maths and Assessment. I was also a Special Needs Coordinator for many years and am aware of the challenges some children experience in their learning. As a wellbeing and mental health advocate, I have supported and enabled many children struggling to access the school curriculum, to help them enjoy learning and thrive in every way possible.
Since retiring last year, I have continued to support and help children thrive on an individual basis in English and Maths, as well as preparation for SATs and the 11+
I am a positive person with a good sense of humour and am able to readily engage pupils with their learning. I use a range of approaches to suit each child's learning styles and needs. As a result, pupils gain confidence in their own abilities and make excellent progress.
