Experienced, Friendly and Inspiring Maths Tutor

I am a fully qualified maths secondary school teacher having completed my PGCE with QTS. I am also a friendly, compassionate and inspiring tutor with a passion for mathematics. I enjoy helping students increase their confidence and independence in the subject, using a variety of teaching strategies.

I have a unique and experienced background, having worked in a number of secondary schools with a range of levels delivering KS3 lessons up to GCSE in mathematics. I have also worked closely with local primary schools, to deliver booster sessions to years 5 and 6 in mathematics and increase overall engagement in the subject. In addition, I have taught SEN (Special Educational Needs) classes.

Tutoring Experience

Tutoring Approach

During each session, I will explain the concept to the student in detail, quiz them to test their knowledge and teach them how to approach exam questions by going through some past papers. I will also ensure students are revising correctly and introduce them to new revision techniques.

I believe every student is unique and learns at their own pace but is able to achieve their full academic potential. I have a unique and adaptable approach to meet each individual's need. My aim for the students is to help guide them to think confidently and independently, focusing on developing exam technique and helping students to gain all the marks they deserve.
