I am a Japanese national living in England since 1999. I am a professional English Japanese translator and English teacher as a foreign language. Japanese is my mother tongue and have been informally learning how to teach Japanese as a foreign language.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching English as a foreign language since 2018 online. I have had over 500 students so far and taught over 2000 hours. I have also been teaching Japanese as a foreign language. I can quickly identify the level of each student and adjust my lesson plan to suit them.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to teaching is friendly but with attention to detail. I apply my own experience of learning English to teaching, which focused on the correct grammar. I am a fast typist so I use the chat box a lot so that students can refer back to them for revision. I listen carefully to each student's needs for learning and align the teaching material to make sure each lesson is informative but fun.
