Hi, I'm Asya. I'm currently a 4th year medical student at Barts and The London. My journey to and in medicine has equipped me with a deeper understanding of biological principles, and more importantly the ability to simplify complex concepts. Alongside my previous 4 years of tutoring experience in an established centre, I've honed my skillset to connect with students and adapt to their individual needs.

Tutoring Experience

2016 - 2019: Tutored English, Maths, Science and 11+ (Grammar School entry exams).

Tutoring Approach

Firstly getting to know the student - what they would like to get out of our sessions, what their current concerns/worries are and also what their priorities are. As well as establishing what exam board they're preparing for and how they have prepared so far.

I plan on doing so by ensuring I maintain a comfortable, open learning environment where questions and curiosity are encouraged.

Then after establishing their exam board/specification, I plan on working through topics with perfecting exam technique kept in mind. After teaching topics in accordance to each student's learning style, I plan on ensuring understanding with the use of exam styled questions. Most importantly: constantly checking in with the student to see how they're feeling and addressing any concerns.
