Tutoring Approach

My tutoring approach consists mainly of a student-led teaching plan. It may be important to identify the learning priorities of a student at a particular time. For example, a student may need to refine their essay writing skills, may be struggling with a particular area of subject matter or have an important assignment coming up. This can be established prior to the tutoring session and a plan can be created to ensure that the student is getting the most out of the session. The same can be said for the type of tutoring. For example, one student may prefer discussion based learning whereas another may prefer instructive. This flexible approach ensures that every student is provided with the most effective way of learning for them in order to achieve their self-selected learning goals. Continued support is given outside of tutoring sessions if needed.
