Hello! My name is Arun and I am a 21 year old. I recently graduated from the University of Warwick studying Civil Engineering. For the remainder of the year, I will be doing a Data Analyst and Scientist course. I am very passionate about Maths and have always enjoyed the subject. Even during my university course, the Mathematics modules were always my favourite, which I managed to obtain 100% in each year.

Tutoring Experience

During my A-levels, I taught Lower Key Stage 3 and GCSE Mathematics to a couple students, in which I communicated complex problems in a simple, concise way and motivated interest and success, as shown through helping a C student acquire an A at GCSE.

Tutoring Approach

The lessons are typically down to what the student wants to cover. If there are any areas that they feel needs work, then I will cover that. I will ask questions and give plenty of example questions - this is a very effective way for a student to understand. Once I feel that they have grasped the understanding of that topic, I will give an exam-style question for you to try. If a student typically does not understand when going through an example, I will drop hints or ask questions until they understand as opposed to giving the answer and then give them another question, until they are confident. If the student does not give a topic they want to cover prior to the lesson, I will go through some more challenging topics in the course given by the board they are studying.
