Hello I'm Annie,

I run my own business called Beeautiful Minds which offers not only private tuition for Primary-Year 9 students, but mental health support and counselling; via a technique called Drawing and Talking.

I love the outdoors; Autumn is my favourite season. You'll often find me walking outside with my Labradors or spending time with my horses.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 6 years experience in education whether that's teaching, tutoring or supporting children with SEN, SEMH and behavioural needs, as well as delivering a multitude of interventions both in person and online.

As the designated safeguard lead for a well known tutoring company, you can rest assured your child will be in the safest of hands.

I tutor primary Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, Mathematical reasoning, SATS, 11+, Year 7-9 Maths and English, as well as providing Dyslexia support and help with study skills.

At Beeautiful minds, we not only specialise in SEN tutoring but also 'out of the classroom' learning which involves movement, games, and lots of hands on experiences.

Tutoring Approach

I have a passion for all things mental health so you'll find my teaching approach is individualised, supportive and understanding. I believe learning should be fun, interesting and thought provoking and all children have the right to experience this. I love incorporating colours and games into lessons and am a strong advocate of wrapping up a session with a positive from the day, as well as one thing to work on next time, thus promoting a growth mindset.

I initially carry out a baseline assessment to establish where the students strengthens and weaknesses are. I then plan lessons to promote progression and growth mindset. I carry out numerous assessments throughout the tuition process and feedback to parents.

My ethos is that it is important to establish and maintain positive relationships with my students. Once a student is happy and supported they can truly begin to flourish and feel beeautiful!
