Hi, I’m Anna – a lifelong learner, passionate educator, and curious explorer of the world. Teaching, for me, is not just a profession – it’s a joyful, human connection. For over 15 years, I’ve been fortunate to work with students in classrooms and communities across the world and each encounter has deepened my love for learning and for people.

I thrive on creating meaningful, student-centred learning experiences where curiosity leads the way. Whether I’m helping someone find their voice in writing, supporting language development, or encouraging confidence in speaking, I approach every session with warmth, encouragement, and genuine care. I believe learning is most powerful when it’s personal, engaging, and rooted in real connection.

Beyond teaching, I’m an avid traveller and a great believer in the value of stories – from books, places, and the fascinating people we meet along the way. I love talking with people from all walks of life, listening to what moves them, and sharing experiences that stretch our perspectives. These conversations and journeys continually feed my teaching and enrich the way I see the world.

I’ve also taken part in volunteering and teacher coaching, working alongside passionate educators in a range of global contexts. Supporting others to grow in their practice – and learning alongside them – has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey so far.

Tutoring Experience

With over 15 years of teaching experience across Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America, I bring a truly international perspective to education. I specialise in IB English A (MYP & DP), Theory of Knowledge, and IGCSE/GCSE English Language and Literature, and have helped students around the world achieve academic success and grow in confidence.

I hold a Master of Arts degree and am a fully qualified teacher, trained in both the UK and Poland. In addition to my subject specialisms, I also have extensive experience in ESL and TESOL, having worked with multilingual learners in diverse settings—from international schools to refugee education programs and community centres. My teaching approach is adaptive, supportive, and tailored to meet the needs of both native and non-native English speakers.

I’ve also worked as an IB examiner and have supported exam preparation and coursework at the highest levels. Beyond the classroom, I’ve coached and mentored teachers through INSET training, collaborative lesson planning, and international volunteering initiatives. I’ve led professional development workshops and delivered coaching programs through NGOs such as Inspiring Teachers (UK), NEEDA (Tanzania), and Hope Nepal, focusing on literacy, curriculum development, and inclusive teaching strategies.

My teaching style is warm, adaptable, and student-centred. I believe that learning should be both challenging and joyful, and that every student deserves to feel heard, understood, and empowered. Whether I’m working with young learners or adults, I take the time to get to know each student’s needs, strengths, and aspirations – and then tailor my approach to support their growth.

I value open dialogue, critical thinking, and a collaborative learning environment where curiosity leads the way. I use a range of strategies – from visual tools and storytelling to real-world examples and reflective questioning – to make learning engaging and meaningful. Above all, I try to foster a space where students feel safe to take risks, explore big ideas, and develop their own voice.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that education should nurture the whole person. I’m just as interested in helping students become thoughtful, compassionate human beings as I am in supporting their academic success. I aim to model kindness, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning in everything I do.
