I have a degree in English and History and an A at A level English Literature. I have been working as an English specialist teaching assistant in a secondary school for 18 months, mainly with SEND students. I am patient and calm and consider it a privilege to support students in their English GCSE. I am good at simplifying tasks and giving students strategies they can use to approach their English language and literature. I have two children who are 15 and 16 years old. In my free time I play in a band, I try and do some running to keep fit and I love to travel.

Tutoring Experience

I have 18 months experience working as a specialist English Teaching Assistant in a secondary school working mainly with SEND students. I would like to gain more experience as a private tutor. It is a privilege to tutor students in English and see their confidence grow.
