Anirudh

As a third year PhD student with with a robust background in teaching and student support for the
past two years, I have developed and improved time management, effective communication, patience,
data analysis , scientific and analytical writing, project management and event planning in addition to
my continuously growing research portfolio. With these skills in my repertoire, I consider myself to be
well equipped for any student and peer support role.

Tutoring Experience

With nine years of experience in teaching and student support, I have honed my skills in effectively communicating complex concepts and providing tailored assistance to learners. Since 2015, I have been actively engaged in educating students at both the high school and undergraduate levels.

From 2015 to 2019, I offered personalized tutorials in Mathematics and Physics to high school and pre-undergraduate students in India. During this time, I developed a deep understanding of individual student needs and tailored my teaching approach to ensure their comprehension and success.

From 2022 to the present, I have continued my passion for teaching by assisting in delivering lectures and tutorials to undergraduate students. Additionally, I have voluntarily provided one-on-one Mathematics and MATLAB tutorials, further enhancing my ability to convey complex topics in a clear and engaging manner.

Tutoring Approach

Foundational knowledge is essential, regardless of one's chosen career path. Strong fundamentals not only facilitate better understanding of concepts but also foster a genuine appreciation for the subject matter. My own passion for Mathematics and Physics, particularly their intersection in the realm of Mathematical Physics, was ignited by dedicated educators who instilled in me a deep love for these disciplines. This passion continues to drive me as a PhD student.

In my teaching approach, I prioritize the solidification of core Mathematics and Physics principles. Through personalized 1-to-1.5 hour sessions, I aim to impart these fundamentals while dedicating ample time to collaborative problem-solving. This format allows for a comprehensive learning experience where theoretical concepts are reinforced through practical application.

Moreover, I offer insights into study techniques and methodologies that have proven effective for me personally, tailoring them to suit the individual needs of my students. By fostering a supportive learning environment and sharing successful learning strategies, I aim to not only educate but also empower my students to excel in their academic pursuits.
