We (myself and my wife) are private Mathematics Tutors providing one-to-one and small group tuition for Primary School, Secondary School and Adult Students. I have a PhD, MSc and BEng degrees from leading UK universities and currently work as a Senior Lecturer in Aircraft Engineering at a leading London University. My partner is a secondary school teacher with qualified teacher status and has taught in numerous schools in the local area.

We charge £50 per hour for one-to-one tuition.

Tutoring Experience

Together we have more than 20 years experience in teaching and have taught and mentored a broad range of students in schools, colleges and Universities. We only teach mathematics and therefore are very experienced in the subject at all levels. We employ a wide variety of teaching methods depending on the students learning ability. Our aim is to ensure that each student attains the highest possible grade regardless of what level they start tuition with us.

Tutoring Approach

We are friendly team of tutors providing a one-to-one and small group tuition service either from our home or at the students home. Students will benefit from being taught at our home since we have a dedicated tuition room with expert teaching facilities and resources. We are particularly good at making use of a large whiteboard with which we teach students mathematical methods and get students to explain the method back to us. If students can explain it to us, they understand it. We work at the natural learning pace of the student but keep them on their toes to get maximum value. We provide free revision books, worksheets and past papers to all our students. We also provide careers guidance and mentoring as part of our work.
