I am a fully qualified school teacher with 13 years experience in education in a number of roles. Since gaining my teaching qualification in 2019 at the University of Derby, I have gone on to teach and hold additional responsibilities in an outstanding school in Leicestershire.

I am available to support your child with Key Stage 1 & 2 Maths. I offer one to one tuition in your home (online). As well as tailoring lessons to specific subject areas and skills, I am happy to go through homework to ensure clarity and greater understanding, go through revision sessions - whatever is most helpful to you.

Tutoring Experience

I have spent most of my career teaching KS2 (7-10 year olds). I have worked in both public and private schools and have helped pupils grow in confidence when preparing for tests in the best way possible for them to allow them achieve the best possible mark.

I have also helped pupils to catch up with topics that they have found tough to understand in class. I have always received great feedback from parents and carers about how calm and understanding I am which makes their child feel at ease and comfortable when learning something new.

Tutoring Approach

My tuition approach is completely tailored to the needs of the individual. I will take the time to get to know the child and their learning goals and see how best I can support them. I will always be positive, kind and considerate with everything problem/ topic that we approach. By the end of each session I aim for the child to leave feeling more confident, happy and proud of what they have achieved. I recognise that learning is a process and not one that can be rushed but one that will grow given time, energy and effort.
