A Teacher with a history of delivering achievement in Maths. I am Andrew and I have recently left a school where I were lead of a successful maths department. I am taking a career break to do some travelling once the pandemic settles down.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught Maths for 7 years specialising in delivering strong outcomes at GCSE. My Faculty was one of the first to set up remote maths teaching. The cohort of students who we taught online said they felt their outcomes were better than they would have been with purely classroom based teaching.

Tutoring Approach

I believe success in maths is about the balance between challenge and confidence. My approach is to nurture confidence and install belief in my students but brining them out of their comfort zone. Online sessions will be very interactive and personalised to accommodate this.

I prepare 3 homework quizzes per week personalised for the student free of charge.

I am available around the clock 7 days a week for extra support and I encourage students to seek this regularly.

I intend to offer face-to-face networking days where students can meet other students in a similar situation and engage in some team building activities. This may also be used as a n opportunity for students to sit practice examinations.
