For the past 6 years I have been working at Perth High School as an English teacher. During my time there I have taught National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher English. I have also been nominated as Scots teacher of the Year 2022. I mark the folio aspect for the SQA at National 5 level.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching since 2015 and I have delivered courses across all levels of certification in English. I have also marked and moderated at every level.

Tutoring Approach

I believe that one to one tuition is most effective when the tasks are varied and targeted to the learner's interests. Our first session will begin with a conversation regarding their current progress and I will follow this up with a variety of short tasks to gauge strengths and areas for development.

Future sessions will be based around supporting and developing their learning from school in an active, varied and interesting way.
