I am a qualified experienced teacher with a passion for teaching and find joy in helping a young person achieve great results and a boost in their confidence.I am positive efficient person who has worked in a multitude of educational settings and with various age groups.This enables me to create a more bespoke programme of study for the learner.

Tutoring Experience

I initially worked as a primary teacher for many years until crossing over into ALN(Additional Learning Needs) ,teaching young people with behavioural issues. I currently work for Newport as a senior teacher.I am head of department in both Science and Maths. I have been a tutor for 30 years and tutor Maths, English, Science and other subjects across the age groups.

Tutoring Approach

I am patient and friendly and always carry a smile. I believe in building a child's confidence in their ability to achieve. I am quite expressive and like to be dynamic and energetic in my teaching style.My style of tutoring is very interactive with visual aids and diagrams with clear concise logical explanations of concepts and theories of the topics to be taught.
