I am a qualified (AMBDA, APC) teacher of dyslexic students, using a multi-sensory teaching
approach which is particularly effective for students with dyslexia alongside use of assistive technology and study skills to empower dyslexic learners.
I am also an experienced teacher of History, Geography and English. I teach in a school in Cheshire and have also worked at Public Schools in the past. I specialise in GCSE and A level History, GCSE Geography and English, and I am an examiner of GCSE History.
My main technique is to focus on exam answers and ensure that your essay style is sophisticated enough to achieve the best marks possible. This will also help if you are taking other Arts related subjects.
I am happy to combine students, please contact me for further details.
18 years teaching in mainstream and private schools.
Just completed a PG Cert and now working as a dyslexia specialist teacher and assessor.
I worked for Edexcel exam board as an examiner 2006-2014 and now currently teach using the AQA exam board.
My specialist is dyslexia tuition and I would be using a structured, multi-sensory approach approved by the British Dyslexia Association.
For history tuition I would be focusing on exam technique and timing, working on subject knowledge for a student's weakest areas (8 -10 sessions recommended) or subject knowledge and/or exam technique if tutoring is for an extended period.
