I’m a qualified and experienced secondary English teacher and examiner. I can help to prepare you for a specific exam and teach you how to gain marks. I have tutored many students helping them to achieve their desired grade.
I have taught a range of exam boards including AQA, Eduqas, Edexcel and OCR. In our lessons we can look at past papers/questions and I will teach you strategies to approach them. I will model example answers and give you feedback on your written work.
For KS3 learners, I am experienced in teaching comprehension and I can also teach you how to write an analytical paragraph to prepare you well for later years.
I also have experience with EAL students and teaching English as a foreign language. I believe in combining positive encouragement with structured, goal-focused support so students feel confident, capable, and ready to succeed. I believe in making lessons fun and engaging, hopefully inspiring a love for the subject!
