I am an experienced Primary School teacher. I would describe myself as patient, encouraging and enthusiastic. I love to see children learn, ask questions and feel a sense of achievement.
I enjoy teaching English in particular as it gives children (and teachers!) a chance to be creative.

Tutoring Experience

I am currently a fully qualified teacher in Year 2 at a London Primary School. I have worked as a Teaching Assistant in Year 1, during my PGCE year I worked in Year 5 and Year 2 and I've tutored children in Year 4 and Reception.

Tutoring Approach

I am always well prepared for lessons and plan each with a clear objective in mind. I think it's important to ensure that lessons offer a balanced variety of input/ activities/ tasks to fully engage and children and achieve objectives.
I can quickly adapt an activity if a child isn't coping and believe it's important to offer different methods of learning to find the one which works best for an individual. I like to challenge children to always do their best and hopefully instill them with a desire to learn!
