Hi!
I’m Amelia. I am currently studying Biomedical Science BSc at King’s College London.
Having completed my A-Levels, I understand that there are those topics that everyone seems to find harder. This has helped me find top tips in making sure that you understand those harder topics so that you can ace the exams. Sometimes seeing things from a different perspective, especially one from a student who has experienced and succeeded in these subjects, is exactly what you need. I have been able to develop some tricks for remembering key information and developing the best exam techniques so that you can do your absolute best. I am here to help and answer any questions on areas of the subject you don't fully understand.

Tutoring Experience

During year 13 in sixth form college, I helped students in the year below who were struggling with their subject in particular Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I am also currently tutoring GCSE and A-Level subjects. This has helped me develop good communication skills. It has also helped me develop key organisation skills so that I come to lessons with lots of material and different exercises for the student to cover.

Tutoring Approach

I always start with seeing how much the student already knows and then go on to filling any gaps in their knowledge. Then, especially for older student working towards exams, I will get them to have a go at sample exam questions and go through the questions with them after. Here I usually give them tips on how to remember the content from my personal experience and work with them on their exam technique and time management.
