I am an outstanding primary Mathematics and English teacher with twenty seven years of teaching experience, currently teaching in an outstanding school in Hounslow, Middlesex.

As a maths specialist teacher, I have accelerated the progress of low attaining pupils in year 6 for many years.

During my teaching career, I have attended a multitude of lead courses and conferences, organized by well renowned academic researchers. Currently, I am a part of ‘West London’ maths hub and I provide in-house CPD to other colleagues. I also organize and run workshops for parents and share techniques and methods, we use at school to teach English and Maths. Parents find this extremely helpful in supporting their children at home in improving their skills in English and Maths.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring and mentoring children from age 5-11 for several years with proven results. With my extensive teaching experience, I have the ability to assess and teach children with diverse needs and provide targeted support to them to succeed in their key stage 1 and 2 SATs. I have also been a KS2 SATS marker (AQA) for 3 years, therefore I have in depth knowledge to prepare children working at different levels for their SATS examinations.

Tutoring Approach

I have a good grasp of National Curriculum. My teaching strategies include breaking complex problems into small, easy to follow steps. I am well trained in asking the questions which help them to think critically and apply their previously learnt skills.

I am friendly and adopt my teaching approaches so that children feel confident and put their full effort into learning. Hence, they get a sense of achievement.
I use assessment strategies effectively to ensure all pupils are making excellent progress in their learning.
