Hey, I'm Amaan! A BSc (Hons) Biochemistry graduate from Queen Mary University of London and currently a Fourth Year Medical Student.

I am a proficient and driven individual with a real passion for teaching. My degree within Biochemistry has made me well equipped to teach students in an enjoyable and engaging fashion.

In addition to the subjects offered, I also provide services relating to the Personal Statement, UCAT entrance exam, Medicine & Dentistry Interview Preparation and other admissions related advice.

I scored within the 8th decile (top 20%) in the UCAT coupled with my SJT score of Band 1 which falls within the top 14% of candidates for my respective cycle. This allowed me to receive three out of four offers for the medical schools for which I applied to.

Five years of private tutoring experience, teaching individuals ranging from secondary school to university.

Tutoring Approach

I typically conduct an initial diagnostic session with the student to gauge their level of understanding and to address any questions or concerns they may have. This allows me to develop a bespoke, tailor-made plan for each individual. This ensures that I adapt my teaching style to best meet the needs of each student in order to maximise their potential for achieving the best grade possible.

In addition to breaking down complex concepts and ideas, I tend to incorporate questions during and at the end of each session to consolidate the knowledge. Coupled with this, past papers are also a key part of learning. Past papers and question banks will be integrated within the lessons after having learnt and understood the foundations of the topic.
