I am 45 years old with 22 years experience of Science Teaching aged 11-16 and an experienced tutor of Maths
, Science and 11+. I am able to offer individual or online private tuition in Maths, English (including reading) and Science. I am able tutor Maths and English to KS3 level and Science (combined or separate Sciences) to GCSE. During the last 16 years, I have provided tuition to many students across a wide range of ages and abilities with excellent results both in terms of increased attainment, enthusiasm and enjoyment of their learning. As a result I have received several glowing testimonials from parents. I always have high expectations of students in my care, regardless of their ability or age. I am also an experienced KS3 and GCSE Science examiner, currently working on assessing both Year 10 and Year 11 GCSE examinations and coursework. I enjoy my teaching and I always try to ensure learning takes place in a relaxed and focussed situation. I am able to work at home or in the student’s home. I am currently available some evenings depending on work and family life and weekends mostly on a Saturday.

Tutoring Experience

I am an experienced Science teacher with 22 yrs experience in Secondary schools teaching all 3 Science subjects in key stage3 and key stage 4. I have been offfering and delivering private tuition for the last 8 years and cover Science in KS2,3,4 and Maths in KS2 and KS3 and English literacy skills in KS3. I also have 6 yrs experience as a GCSE examiner and coursework moderator. In the last 2 yrs I have spent considerable time researching and training with the 11+ exam and requirements of the paper to enable me to also offer effective 11+ tailored tuition lessons.

I currently tutor most online for over 6yrs and have found it just as successful and sometimes productive for students independence and resilience too. .
