My working experience, over the past 20 years, had been in two major fields: education and research. My main educational background is in the field of social sciences. I graduated the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work with a major in Social Work in 2003. Later I continued my education by completing an MA in “European Social Policy” (2003-2005) and another MA in “Business Administration” (2005-2007), both at the University of Bucharest in Romania. I completed my PhD in Sociology in 2012.

Tutoring Experience

In Manchester, over the past ten years, I have developed an expertise in the field of education through a variety of teaching roles. Qualified as a teacher, both in the UK and in Romania, I have worked in Teaching Assistant roles with an agency (Premier Education) at first in several placement. Later I turned to permanent roles had worked in two private nurseries between 2016-2020, namely Bright Horizons in Sale and Oaklands Nursery in Chorlton. I’ve been working as an EAL Teaching Assistant (casual work) through a local authority service provided to bilingual children living in the Stockport area of Greater Manchester since September 2017. The most recent appointments are the Playworker role and the Midday Assistant role, Playleader in a primary school, and manager of a supplementary school in Manchester, Nicoae Iorga Romanian School in Manchester.

Tutoring Approach

I have the skills required to adapt my communication styles to work with different age ranges. I know that it is essential to use supportive language, adapt to specific needs, keeping the targets high.
