I am a very experienced Primary School teacher and also a dyslexia tutor. I am also the mum of 3 grown up children. I work in school part time, but am available to tutor after school on Thursdays and Fridays.
I have over 20 years experience as a primary school teacher. I have worked with all years in the primary sector, but more recently in KS1.
I have compiled individualised dyslexia learning programmes for children within school.
My middle child has had an EHCP, so have had the experience as a parent of dealing with SEN needs.
I have also worked as a Portage Teacher working with pre-school children with complex needs.
I am a very experienced primary school teacher who is offering an individualised tutoring service for children with dyslexia and those who struggle with reading and writing, but are undiagnosed. My sessions will include in depth assessment to inform teaching, as well as discussion with the parent and child to identify key need. My aim is encourage confidence in learning and a range of strategies the child can use to support their learning at school. I will also provide ways parents can support their children at home. I offer a safe and comfortable environment for learning. I set out to have sessions that are multisensory, cumulative, flexible and fun!
