Online Maths and Physics Lessons

I am a PhD student studying 'extra-galactic astrophysics' and 'galaxy formation' at UCL in London. I did my undergraduate degree in physics at the University of Manchester. My masters project specialised in high energy particle physics, looking at data from the ATLAS detector at CERN. I also worked as an intern in France on the subject of Astrochemistry (chemistry in space), working as an observational astronomer at the IRAM 30m telescope in the Sierra Nevada. This work led to my first publication in Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.

PLEASE NOTE: 'Computing/IT' teaching will be strictly coding lessons (in Python & C++) and is not curriculum computer science/IT tutoring.

Tutoring Experience

I love to teach and do lots of outreach and public speaking activities, and am also a STEM Ambassador. I have taught in the past during my undergraduate degree, in school subjects, such as Maths and Science, but also taught as a Python Tutor.

Tutoring Approach

I tend to go with what works for the student. I can help with homework tasks, or go through courses with a structure, as well as talk about subjects in a fun way if the student is curious beyond the school curriculum. I try my best to inspire and help the student learn to enjoy studying by making it interesting, fun and approachable. If the student is not sure which approach to start with, I will help put together (a fun and creative) schedule for us to find what type of studying and learning works best for them.
