Online English and Economics Tuition

In addition to being a a first-class MSc graduate of Global Prosperity from the University College London, I am passionate about helping individuals to reach their academic goals in a calm, encouraging and collaborative process. As someone that was home-schooled herself, I saw the exceptional benefit that private tutoring can have on someone first-hand. By giving a student the opportunity to learn at their own pace, whether that’s slower or faster than average, and enabling them to feel they can voice their thoughts one-on-one, I really believe that students can discover their passion for learning and feel motivated to achieve the highest grades they can!

Tutoring Experience

Aside from embarking on what only seems like thousands of hours of research, revision and exam practise over the last few years for my own self, I have worked with peers and students from year groups below to improve their focus & academic achievements. From demonstrating how to convey a powerful writing technique to interactive ways to memorise exam content, I have helped many to achieve higher grades than they were performing at whilst encouraging them to stay focused and resilient.

Tutoring Approach

One word: empowering. Getting the top grades is important - yes. That’s why we get tutors right? But above these achievements, and arguably the real pathway to success, is developing a student’s true interest in what they are learning about. We can all teach a student to memorise text books and mark schemes word for word & while that served me and is certainly going to be what gets the results, the inspiration to do this must come first. That is why I believe in taking a fun, collaborative and engaging approach where students will not only perform better but are left with a feeling of empowerment. I want students to leave feeling proud of what they have learned and excited to share their new knowledge with friends and family. So my approach is to balance a fun dynamic with the more serious while acting as a source of support for their academic journey. School is not an easy time, but I hope that I can help make it that little bit better!
