I am an enthusiastic, friendly and patient mathematics teacher with years of experience in teaching mathematics pre and post Covid to students aged between 11 and 18. I have current experience of teaching years 7 to 13, both higher and foundation level GCSE students and A level students.
I work as a Mathematics teacher at a secondary school where I have taught Mathematics at Key Stage 3 (Years 7 to 9) prepared students for their GCSE (Years 10 and 11) and A-level (Years 12 and 13) exams. I have offered one to one mathematics tuition for a number of years.
I am aware of the topics that are likely to come up in GCSE exams and I can focus revision on these topics. Exam aids were were used for the post Covid exam - we used this throughout the tuition sessions involving GCSE preparation.
Areas for improvement are identified. Work is set at a pace suited to the student. Parents are offered regular feedback on their child's progress.
Students can boost their confidence for GCSE and A-level exams and are given support with exam board specific exam papers on a one to one basis with regular feedback.
Students are given regular practice on the material being covered at their school. Students will usually work through easier exercises and progress onto more challenging work. The increased challenge together with regular feedback will increase confidence in the classroom and exams.
