Salve a tutti.
My name is Alessandra and I am an Italian Teacher from Venice.
I have always been amazed at how languages are the expression of culture and traditions. After completing my University degree I moved to Liverpool and started Italian classes to teach the italian language, its traditions and its culture, because I believe all of them are keys to a successful communication.

Tutoring Experience

I have started tutoring from a very young age.
While I was still in High school I was helping kids with their homeworks and I took a great pride and joy in helping them to build a solid and successful studying method and logicaI reasoning.
I have been running italian classes for over 10 years to adults from the very beginner (A1) level to highly specialised advanced lessons (C2 level).
I have had over a hundred students and I am still teaching to most of them.
My lessons are entertaining and suitable for everyone.
I hold in high regard building a rapport and have a deep understanding of the student needs in order to facilitate at best the learning process. I strongly believe that helping the students learn "how to learn" is as critical as teaching them how to speak Italian.

Tutoring Approach

Appropriate methodology in learning is vital for students to progress more quickly.
As a native italian tutor with ample experience I can tailor the topics of each lesson depending on your goals (holidays, work, family, GCSE, A-level ...). I use a mixture of listening, conversation, vocabulary building, activities and videos to ensure a solid background in all the aspects of the Italian language. I can provide all the materials needed.

Learning a new language, especially as an adult is not an easy task, but it's a fabulous experience. I am very patient and supportive and clear as I have a deep knowledge of what it means to communicate in a language that it's not your native one.

I got a University degree in Chemistry from the University of Padova and then discovered a passion for teaching my own language as a second language. My scientific mind helps a lot in creating the clearest, easiest way to explain topics. I already have a wide experience in teaching to english speakers and I am currently studying to get a teaching DITALS (Teaching Italian to non native speaker) qualification.
