Hi, I am Alejandro. I am currently a Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering student studying at Tohoku University, Japan. However, I am currently studying in London. I have a passion for maths and have competed in numerous challenges and Olympiads. I also play chess and have competed nationally.
I have experience teaching GCSE maths to a boy for 6 months who later went on to achieve a grade 8. I hope to be able to tutor more children in hopes of them achieving their potential.
I have also developed the skills required to tutor through helping teach chess to kids at a club for a year.
I will be following the syllabus of the students' exam board, so they are prepared for their exams at school.
I will focus on making sure the student understands each concept and the reasoning behind it. I believe this is extremely important that students do not just memorise equations as that also takes out all of the fun out of maths.
To keep the student challenged, I will propose different questions of varying difficulties and also give a small homework that is optional but advised.
Being in their position not too long ago, lets me understand them best and adjust my lessons according to their needs.
