Hi, I'm Alec. Asides from being passionate in sharing my love of Science, I enjoy spending time with my Springer Spaniel, Mylo and also play piano at church.

Tutoring Experience

I'm currently employed as Lead Practitioner of Science in a High School in England. Although I have taught all 3 Sciences up till GCSE level, my specialism is Biology.

Tutoring Approach

Tutoring, like teaching, should be engaging and should utilise interactive explicit instruction to teach and revise key topics. This means breaking down knowledge into manageable chunks, asking and answering lots of questions to check for understanding and applying it to different contexts. In addition to this, I use my knowledge of the National Curriculum and AQA specification and am aware of how students can gain marks in exam questions in order to achieve great outcomes.
