With 20 years teaching experience I am passionate about the job I do. I thrive on a challenge and see tutoring as a personal goal. I will only take on tutees who I believe a can have a positive influence on and want to be successful, whatever their personal goals.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching mathematics for 20 years. Most of this has been spent in the state sector where I have built up a reputation for getting pupils a GCSE pass (Level 4+) when they would normally have been unsuccessful. In addition, I spent 3 years in the private sector with a focus on common entrance and scholarship exams. I have marked for various exam boards giving me in-depth experience of what the examiners are looking for.

Tutoring Approach

Mathematics can be a challenging subject, especially if you don't find it easy or enjoyable. To be successful hard work and practice is paramount but having a good teacher who can break maths down into simple steps, whilst making it interesting and relevant to the real world, is what you will get from me.
