I am currently studying for a degree in Economics at LSE. I am happy to teach maths students up to and including A-Level stage. I have recently completed my A-Levels, and received an A* in Maths, and am well up-to-date with the current GCSE and A-Level syllabus'. I am keen to help iron out any issues or questions students may have and hopefully allow them to progress!
I have 3 years of maths tutoring experience for a number of A-Level and GCSE students, both 1-1 and in groups. I noticed significant improvement in the majority of these students, and many went on to achieve high grades. My modules at university cover a range of math topics, including calculus and statistics, relevant to both GCSE and A-Level curriculums.
My teaching method is through an inclusive approach, encouraging students to discuss their problems. I will create lesson plans, combining lecture-style delivery, discussion of questions and collaborative problem solving. One of my aims as a tutor is to improve students' confidence in solving challenging problems themselves. I will push students to complete some independent study to reinforce their learning.
