I'm Ais! I'm a vivacious and versatile vocal coach based in North Somerset/Bristol.
I'm a professional musician, singing and playing keys in two projects, Ekhidna & Sans Froid.
I have essentially been singing since I left the womb, I would love to support other people in journey to vocal fulfillment.
A vast amount of my experience is in tutoring, performing, session singing, coaching, touring and recording. It's always hard to define what kind of music I like, perhaps easier to write what I don't like...but my main influences are: Bjork, Joni Mitchell, Nina Simone, Beyonce, Tori Amos, FKA Twigs, Goldfrapp, Kate Bush, Punch Brothers, Mike Patton, Mew, King Crimson, Erykah Badu, Alicia Keys.
About a decade ago, I delved into the world of vocal coaching. I have worked with many mixed abilities and ages ranging from 6-60.
As well as coaching, I have also been involved in a lot of session singing which was ignited throughout the pandemic and am an active touring musician with my original projects.
I have a BA Honours Degree in Professional Musicianship, Access to Music Foundation Degree and expansive experience in performance.
These degrees and experiences have enabled me to focus on my voice with a new approach and recognise it as a powerful lead instrument that can be manipulated and guided in fantastically intricate ways, unlike many other instruments. My aim is to share this with as many other people as I humanly can.
Feeling confident and empowered to enable your voice to flourish is at the core of all of my coaching.
My sessions are pupil-centered, bespoke and will be crafted to the individual's wants/needs.
Also included in each session are tools and exercises that will enable your voice to naturally take shape as well as solo exercises that you can practice in your own time.
