As a medical student at the University of Sheffield, I offer extensive tutoring experience from primary school to sixth form level. With A* grades across GCSE subjects I teach and A*s in Biology and Maths and Chemistry(A) at A-level, I'm equipped to help you excel in your studies and achieve your desired progress.

Tutoring Experience

For a year, I tutored at a Kumon tuition centre, specialising in Mathematics for students aged five to A-level. This experience honed my ability to tailor teaching to diverse learning styles. Additionally, I've conducted online tutoring for two years, resulting in many students achieving A/A* grades.

Tutoring Approach

My approach varies depending on the prior ability of the student. For those who are confident with the concepts, the main focus of the lesson is looking at exam questions specific to their exam board and highlighting weaknesses with exam technique.
For those that need more support in understanding the content, my approach consists of taking time to explain the subject matter then regularly testing the student's understanding to prevent them from blindly saying they understand. If there is time, we also look at manageable exam questions to see how the content is applied.
Homework is set but not compulsory. This would consist of a large bank of exam questions, the notes covered in the lesson, and the content for the next lesson if that is pre-determined.
