I'm a mathematics graduate and have been involved in education for over 8 years now. I'm very experienced tutoring children of all ages and abilities. My background is in youth work, after which I've been teaching maths at a secondary school. I am very enthusiastic about maths and this tends to rub off on those that I work with.
I have been working at Impington Village College for many years now, and have access to numerous resources. I have gained a lot of experience of working with a diverse range of abilities and needs, particularly working with children with learning difficulties. I have been tutoring for roughly 10 years now and have recently gained a lot of experience working with primary students from years 2-6. I will make every effort to increase your child's confidence with maths and help them achieve their target. All previous GCSE students of mine have achieved their target grade and many have achieved 1-2 grades higher.
As you can see from my feedback, I am quick to build rapport with my students and find that this is essential to long term learning. I find it key to make my sessions engaging and enjoyable, I feel this is the best way to learn. I am very patient and have a friendly approach to tutoring.
