Hello everyone! My name is Adam.
I am currently working full time as a class teacher in a primary school in Clayton, Manchester.
I am looking to tutor children between the ages of 5-11, helping them to make progress in specific subjects
. I am passionate about motivating and inspiring children to reach their full potential, ensuring that my sessions effectively match their needs.
I have extensive experience teaching early reading and phonics. I can provide high quality teaching and resources for maths, reading and writing.
Outside of teaching, I love to stay active by regularly going to the gym and walking outdoors. I love to spend quality time with my family and friends.

I have been teaching for 7 years with a wealth of knowledge and experience of key stage 1 and lower key stage 2.
I have a wealth of experience teaching phonics and reading, using Read, Write Inc. I am currently Maths lead and have developed our whole school planning and teaching approach.
I work with children who possess a range of abilities and needs such as SEND and EAL children.
In 2021, I undertook a new role as CPD lead, to develop teachers' skills and our curriculum to provide the best education possible for all children.
For 5 years, I have mentored trainee teachers and first year teachers (ECTs).
My teaching approach is to encourage a love for learning through engaging teaching. I highly believe that children work best when they have trust and mutual respect with their teacher.
My lessons include powerful knowledge, rich vocabulary, opportunities for pupils to ask and answer insightful questions and interesting for all learners.
It is important to consider how to scaffold and support learning so my pupils can access the curriculum and not be limited by their capability.
I provide constructive and encouraging feedback in a calm, warm and friendly way.
I pride myself on creating high quality resources, that link well to the National Curriculum. I include the use of retrieval practise to make sure that pupils are storing new knowledge in their long term memory. I focus on modelling new learning in detail so my pupils can gain deeper understanding.
