Adam helped to restore my sons love of English and enabled him to reach his full potential and achieve Grade 7's in both his English literacy and Language GCSE's An achievement my son, who is Dyslexic, could never have imagined before starting to work with Adam.

Adam has been tutoring my son English Literature and Language since the beginning of Year 10. We sought Adam's help following a sudden drop in English grade in Year 9. Adam deftly guided him on how to structure responses to questions befitting the educational level that my son was in. Within one term, my son's grade saw significant improvement from a 3 to 7. Adam has been critical in fostering confidence in my son's ability to write creatively, which was reflected in his 2023 GCSE English Language grade of 8. Adam takes a wholistic approach to supporting his students, that goes beyond the subjects he teaches - for example, guidance with writing personal statements for university applications. Adam's hourly rates are reflected in a quality of the tuition that he offers. My son thoroughly enjoyed learning from Adam during the last two years. I would highly recommend him to other parents.

Adam worked closely with my son( who has Dyslexia) for his GCSE year and got him a good pass level in both English Language and literature. My son struggled with English for years and would have been happy to do an apprenticeship/leave school at GCSE because he was disengaged from the subject and felt he would not pass it at GCSE, until Adam showed him how to look at his approach to English in a whole new way, so much so, that it helped improve all his GCSE grades. And he is now very happily doing 3 A'levels, with excellent final predictions.

Adam is also now working with my younger son, who is working towards his GCSE's. He has ADHD and ASD. Again, his grades have improved and he is applying the methods that Adam teaches across his other subjects. I am confident that he will achieve a good GCSE pass.

So, very happy with Adam. He applies just the right amount of tutoring and just the right amount of nuturing to make the subject interesting. Both my teenagers now enjoy English, whereas previously it was "just another" subject that they "had to do".

Adam is a very experienced tutor,who reaches his pupils directly and manages very well,to explain topics in a understandable way.
This builds up confidence in the pupil,even for the most difficult subjects.

We reached out to Adam after our son experienced a bad concussion and had missed many weeks off school. Our son had lost confidence in his learning and with his GCSEs on the horizon, Adam quickly reassured us and before long, our son was feeling very much reconnected and engaged with his GCSE English.

Right from the very first one, our son enjoyed and looked forward to his his lessons with Adam. He especially enjoyed Adam's enthusiastic, focused but easy going way of teaching. He enjoyed connecting with the characters in classic literary texts through Adam's way of bringing modern / contemporary understanding and empathy to their situations - which was a real eye opener for our 15 year old who had not really gone 'that far into things' previously and had not thought it could be fun and engaging to do so!

Our son also studied English Language with Adam and again - he became confident in using techniques and processes that he had not grasped so well in school. Needless to say, our son's confidence in his GCSE English has flourished and he is back on track with his learning.

I think Adam's uniqueness comes from his incredible knowledge and expertise, his absolute professionalism as a tutor all counterbalanced with a warm, friendly and caring personality - he really is one in a million and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

In about 2 weeks my son did a few hours every other day with Adam. My son was on a grade 5 in English and exam out with a 7 under Adam’s tutelage, an absolutely incredible feat given eye had just 2 weeks to get ready for his exam. Thanks so much Adam.

Adam tutored my daughter to take an Autumn 'resit' A level in Drama. His teaching and approach was always very professional, focussed and efficient. He improved her essay writing skills and her ability to accurately answer the questions asked in the time allocated by providing very structured feedback and giving her a framework to help structure her answers. In spite of the lessons being online she found the sessions fun and engaging and was much more confident going into the exam. The result - she improved her grade and is now a very happy student! Adam has been tutoring my 16 year old son in preparation for his GCSE English Language and Literature exams this coming summer and we have been absolutely delighted with our son’s progress as a result. Adam has been an absolutely brilliant tutor for my daughter. He has been tutoring my daughter for about 2.5 yrs now. Adam has been very reliable and an excellent tutor. Adam tutored my 15 year old son for his GCSE Drama/English which was a huge help to him as he is dyslexic. Adam teaches in a way that is unique to the student to help them grasp what they have to learn. My son was extremely happy with how his written Drama and English exam went and said it was largely due to Adams tutoring.
He is very pleasant and friendly and gives great advice, my son said he is very easy to get along with and really enjoyed is lessons.

Adam proved to be a huge help for our son George with his A Level English Language & Literature preparation. He helped our son organise his thoughts and structure essays in a format that would earn him marks in his exams.

Adam began with helping in the planning and preparation of essays - but as George got more confident, he was unleashed to tackle questions on his own. George's preparation without Adam would have been far less focussed and certainly less productive.

We had a mix of face to face sessions and Skype sessions which worked well. I would recommend Adam without hesitation.

Adam has been teaching all my children -11, 9 and 7 at different times and he's been just excellent. His calm and creative ways makes teaching fun for the kids and they look forward to their tuition all the time. He initially came in for English but was really versatile and was soon helping the older 2 prepare for their senior school exams which involved Maths, English, Verbal and Non Verbal. My oldest got into his first choice school and Adam always instilled the confidence in him that he would! He takes feedback well on where I needed him to concentrate at different times and has been great at communicating what he does with the kids and next steps. I can't recommend him enough, brilliant brilliant teacher!

Your lessons on English language question papers were very helpful as that had solidified my base on this unit. Achieved an A* in English Lang and Literature for GCSE thanks to you.

Adam started working with my daughter in February this year. The school predicted Bs for GCSE, and the results have come in with an A in English Language and an A* (94%) in English Literature. Adam gave her the skills she needed, but also taught her to believe in herself. He knew she was capable of more than the school predicted after his initial assessment with her. She never felt under any pressure with Adam and was able to remain very relaxed during her GCSEs as she knew she had really been able to give her best in the exams as she was so well prepared by Adam.

Adam has been preparing our son for GCSE for the past moth. My son describes Adam as an excellent tutor (ans we know a thing or two about tutors). He is very knowledgeable on the subject (English), well- prepared, organised and exam orientated. He certainly has the qualities of the first class tutor.

My 16 yr old son needs to re-site his GCSE English Language exam. Adam has been incredibly supportive. He has taught my son new techniques to help him to succeed in his exam, and has instilled in him a strong sense of confidence. Adam is punctual and professional. His tutoring is of the highest calibre as his lessons are pre-prepared and homework (practice examples) are set in between sessions. Adam has been a great help to Imogen in preparation for her English GCSE. He quickly identified and addressed the areas she needs to work on, and his positive attitude has helped to increase her confidence in a subject she has sometimes struggled with in the past. Adam is always punctual, available at times that suit us, and his lessons are well planned so that Imogen gets the maximum benefit from each session. Adam is a excellent tutor - he tutored my twin sons this past year for both their english exams. After years of average grades I was eager to find a tutor that could help them improve their english skills. Within weeks the boys gained a thorough understanding of the marks schemes and over time they showed vast improvement in both english subjects. In my personal opinion, Adam would be summarized in one word: Exceptional.

He is everything you would want in an A Level English Literature tutor: helpful, supportive, provides excellent and constructive feedback/suggestions/criticisms upon your work/essays/homework and above all else, he's always available when you need to get in contact with him - any time of the day.

Initially, when I found out that I would be taught by Adam via Skype, I was flummoxed and a little confused. Even so, my initial worries dissipated. It turned out to be such an efficient and effective teaching method.

Also, after meeting him and discussing through my situation, my strengths, my numerous weaknesses and a lot of other relevant issues - he never wavered in helping me in achieving my goal of attending University. He always has a positive attitude to things, is extremely committed to the student(s) achieving their true potential and if you are considering Adam to be your personal one-to-one tutor - then, I wouldn't even think of hesitating. Go for it! It'll be one of the best decisions you'll make.

One of the best things I've come to find with Adam, is that he would go out of his way in order to make sure that he/she can achieve their true potential - no matter their goal or their ambition. Also, he found me some model answers - (which were a life-saver!) - which showed me everything that I could achieve (with students who studied the same texts that I did and achieved full marks) given time.

Honestly, parents or students alike, he's so helpful, is definitely worth the time and effort you and Adam would put in, and to me, he's been a god-send in helping me approach A Level English Literature, the texts (the novels and the poems), my essay structure, my timings, and many more important things in such a new way. A fresh outlook was just what I needed!

Adam tutored my son in the run up to his A level Drama exam in a very effective manor. After his first meeting Adam very quickly assessed the areas where he needed to concentrate his revision and gave him confidence. Adam taught enthusiastically with a clear structure which he adapted to Jack's learning style. Jack achieved an A grade in his exam, which I doubt he would have done without Adam's guidance, and now has a place at his first choice university.
