Abigail

Hello! I'm Abi -- a tutor and mentor for GCSE and A-Level students, giving them the confidence they need to succeed in their exams and helping them to learn in more depth about their subjects. I have an interest in all things Literature and Language, and have completed a degree with first-class honours at the prestigious University of Durham.

I believe it is important to give students as much support with their academic learning as possible so that they can fully achieve their potential. In my lessons, I aim to help students recognise their strengths and work on their exam technique, so that they know how to improve. My specialties are English (both Literature and Language), and German.

Tutoring Experience

I have been an online tutor on a different platform for the last three years, completing over 200 lessons in GCSE-level English Language and Literature, English Language A-Level, and German GCSE. My previous students have gone on to achieve great exam results, and their parents have commented on the confidence their children gained in their subject from regular lessons with me.

Tutoring Approach

I have a skill-focused approach to tutoring -- you can expect lots of discussion, writing practice, and activities for learning and revision. I also believe in the importance of exam practice, and will regularly give you practice exam-level questions to help you test out your skills.
